Over the years we’ve had many interpretations of Batman, his villains, Gotham city and just the whole aesthetic of the movies in general. From camp to dark, corny to realistic and each feature has come with its fair share of memorable moments, from the vigilante himself and his infamous foes.
However, some scenes certainly stay with audience members more than others. Whether it be convenient cans of spray used to warn off aquatic predators, a Batmobile that can drive up walls, a real-life hospital destruction mishap that totally paid off or something as simple as an introduction by The Dark Knight himself.

As we tour Gotham city on a dark, rainy night accompanied by a gritty narration announcing it’s “October 31st”, you can’t help but feel like you’re within the pages of Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns.

11 Ways ‘Wanted’ Is Miles Away From Its Darkly Bizarre Comic Book Origins
In 2008 audiences were met with the movie Wanted starring James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie. The story sees frustrated office worker, Wesley Gibson (McAvoy) who soon finds out he is the son of a professional assassin and has inherited his father’s superhuman executing abilities. Needless to say, the story wasn’t mind-blowing, but if you’re in the mood for a good ol’ action flick, accompanied with plenty of violence and pretty impressive visuals, it’s worth a watch.
However, when taking a look at Mark Millar’s Comic Book counterpart that inspired the movie, it’s fair to say the film is a far cry from its literary origins. Aside from the opening scene of Wesley being frustrated with his lifestyle, some characters’ names and the overall assassination angle, there’s very little resemblance at all. Set in a world of supervillains, from all walks of life, the Millarworld series touches on much more bizarre and darker territory as it follows the perspective of a Wesley Gibson who has a much more twisted moral compass.
From superheroes that you’ll definitely recognise to having a character that makes the evilest villains in history look like they belong on Saturday morning television – not to mention a criminal composed entirely of excrement – we will be taking a look at elements from the comic that they chose, for one reason or another, to leave out of the movie.

Jacked In Reviews ‘Jackass Forever’ (2022)
Originally starting as a series about a group of buddies carrying out stunts and pranks on each other, Jackass went on to spawn several feature films with bigger budgets that allowed these crazy individuals to take their antics to even greater heights. It’s fair to say Jackass certainly isn’t for everyone but love it or hate it, you know what you’re getting, and Jackass Forever certainly follows this tradition. Watching a bunch of people putting themselves in harm’s way for our amusement, what could be better?

As the movie opens – following a brief tour of the underbelly of an automobile – we see a middle-aged man trying his damnedest to concentrate on the road whilst his young daughter, Alexia, misbehaves in the backseat, continuing to distract him.
Before we know it, she undoes her seatbelt and the Dad skids the car to a halt, causing Alexia’s head to brutally connect with the passenger window. You start to feel like a horrendous human being as a slight grin begins to pull on your face and with that you realize… Julia Ducournau (Raw) has done it again.

Over the years there have been many Christmas movies, telling their own festive tales, however, there is one individual in particular that has had a more extensive career on the silver screen than any other. Jacked In Reviews ‘The Matrix Resurrections’ (2021)
1999, the year a movie was released that broke grounds like no movie before it. It showed a bleak outlook on the future of humanity as they were harvested by machines, whilst a fake world, known as The Matrix, is pulled over their eyes. The war between humanity and AI was being fought in both the real world and the simulated world. The only difference being, with one’s RSI (Residual Self Image), you’re able to bend the rules and kick some serious ass… and then some.
It’s been nearly two decades since the gravity-defying, action-packed, mind-melting, cyberpunk franchise last graced the big screen. And with that, we swallow the red pill to see how deep the rabbit hole goes in Lana Wachowski’s, The Matrix Resurrections.

As the eerie paranormal music begins to play over the opening credits of Ghostbusters: Afterlife you’re immediately transported back to the ‘80s. Quickly followed by practical effects for some ghostly smoke, demonic hands busting out of chairs and a quick glimpse of aged, former Ghostbuster, Egon Spengler with the classic P.K.E meter and ghost trap, all this in the first scene and you are f*cking ready for this movie!..
