Behind The Scenes of Sam Raimi’s ‘Army of Darkness’

Travelling back in time, far away from the intimate cabin in the woods setting, we have Army of Darkness AKA Evil Dead III. Now in a much more open (and medieval) world, this film took things to the next level. Giving us deadites by the hundreds, effects that completely trumped its predecessors, not to mention, going completely slapstick with the franchise in the best way possible.

Given the stories from the goings-on behind the camera for the previous two Evil Dead movies, it’s no surprise that this larger production had its own fair share of difficulties as well as interesting tales to tell. From a main cast member losing eleven pounds in one day to studio interference which led to the movie’s ending having to be completely reshot, we’ll be taking a look at behind the scenes for the third instalment to the Evil Dead franchise. . . Groovy.

Behind The Scenes of ‘Back to the Future Part II’

A sequel that a lot of fans argue to be their favourite in the time-travelling trilogy, we have Back to the Future Part II. This film gave us the ‘80s interpretation of the year 2015, a dystopian wasteland and even revisits our favourite moments from the first instalment.

Given the bigger, more complex story to that of its predecessor, there’s obviously going to be some interesting stories of what went on off-camera. From Lawsuits to a family tragedy that caused a prominent cast member to drop out of the sequel, we’ll be looking at just what went on behind the scenes for Back to the Future Part II.

Behind The Scenes of Sam Raimi’s ‘Evil Dead II’

For a lot of Evil Dead fans, Evil Dead II is perhaps regarded as their favourite instalment to the franchise. Doing something that wasn’t common practice at the time with horror movies, this sequel managed to keep its horror aspect and simultaneously add humour, going from slapstick comedy to something insanely dark and twisted in a matter of seconds. This new style and some other iconic elements would carry on in future movies and even the series, Ash vs Evil Dead, which was released decades later.

However, what was it like working on set for a movie that would change the horror game and go down in cult classic infamy? From a third of the crew being fired over the course of a weekend to one of the cast members almost biting it during a take, we’ll be looking at behind the scene stories from Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead II . . . Behind The Scenes of Sam Raimi’s ‘The Evil Dead’

Back in the early 80’s audiences were met with a truly terrifying film that is renowned in the world of horror, Sam Raimi’s The Evil Dead.

It shocked fans with its eeriness, not to mention terrifyingly, gruesome effects that had never been seen onscreen before. This movie not only inspired sequels, a “remake”, a series, copycats, even a musical, but has withstood the test of time and is still highly regarded to this day.

However, accomplishing this movie was no easy feat for these (more or less) first-time feature filmmakers. From the crew working off a script that was written on a couple dozen napkins to the filming taking place in a real-life, spooky, abandoned cabin and Sam Raimi actually being brought up on obscenity charges for the picture, we will be taking a look at behind the scenes for one of the biggest cult horror classics of all time.

Behind The Scenes of ‘Back to the Future’

Back to the Future, easily one of the biggest staples in the world of cinema. Marty McFly, the coolest kid in the 80s’ going back to 1955 with the help of Doc Brown and his time-travelling DeLorean. From perfect casting to a storyline that would change the game forever, this movie flows like no other, unanimously loved by all and has even been labelled as “the perfect script”.

But, achieving this masterpiece was no easy feat. From the script itself being turned down forty-four times to having to replace their lead actor five weeks into filming, we’ll be going back in time to look at what went on behind the scenes for one of the most iconic movies in cinematic history.

Behind The Scene Tales From ‘An American Werewolf In London’

John Landis’ An American Werewolf in London is a cult classic in the world of horror and owes a lot of the success to its unique, darkly-comedic approach to the genre. Not only that, but with the assistance of legendary makeup artist Rick Baker, we were able to see an onscreen werewolf (as well as other terrors) in a way that was never seen before!

Subtle nuances some audience members may have missed, as well as some unique approaches that were used on set, we will be looking at behind the scene stories which aided in creating one of the most famous werewolf movies of all time.

Beware the moon. . . And stick to the road.
