Jacked In Recommends ‘Hereditary’ (2018)

Following the life of a dysfunctional family, as they grieve, this abysmal world and the characters within it doesn’t rely on “jump scares” (although don’t worry, there’s plenty of them too). Instead, it elongates those horrific moments, terrifying you for an inordinate period of time. Combine this with its eerie subtleties, making you double take and leaving you feeling subconsciously unsettled.

An absolutely, chilling performance by Toni Collette, supported by an all-around amazing cast, each delightfully, woeful in their own way. Rest assured, Ari Aster’s Hereditary is a horror with a fresh approach to its subject matter, so get your pillow at the ready and get Involved.

Available on Netflix.
