Jacked In Recommends ‘The Fly’ (1986)

Seth Brundle (Jeff Goldblum), a bit of an oddball in the world of science, is currently working on his latest invention that will redefine travel as we know it, The Telepod.

After forming a special relationship with journalist Veronica Quaife (Geena Davis) – who documents his progress – Seth eventually becomes impatient and tests the teleportation device, using himself as a Guinea pig. This would have been quite the successful experiment had it not been for an uninvited guest who was in the machine with Seth at the time of teleportation. . . A fly.

As time goes on, Seth gradually begins to become more insect than man, but will he find a cure before it’s too late?

A cult classic scary movie from the ‘80s and an absolute staple in the body horror subgenre (none too surprising with David Cronenberg at the helm), get involved, or should we say. . . Be afraid. Be very afraid.
