Vanilla Sky follows the story of David Aames (Tom Cruise), a handsome, somewhat conceited individual, blessed with wealth and control of a company after the untimely passing of his parents.
Although David is no stranger when it comes to the opposite sex, after meeting a lady by the name of Sofia (Penélope Cruz), it seems he may have finally found the one. However, following a horrific car accident caused by a scorned “ex” (Cameron Diaz), David becomes disfigured and his life changes forever. As the story progresses, David begins to lose grips with reality as his world crashes down around him.
A beautiful movie that does the original (Open Your Eyes) on which it was based some serious justice, brilliantly cast, with an absolutely superb soundtrack. In short, Cameron Crowe’s Vanilla Sky is a movie everyone should see at least once in their lifetime, get involved.
