Jacked In Reviews ‘The Turk’ (2023)

The Turk is a comedy that tells the tale of two buddies, Tom (Matthew Kay) and Glen (Elliott Eason) on the hunt for a particular car responsible for an accident. Unfortunately for Tom, the owner of the vehicle just happens to be his new girlfriend’s dad, Wayne Kerr… A POLICEMAN!

Despite taking place in the present, this runs more like a ’70s cop show, in all the right ways!

However, this isn’t your usual run-of-the-mill situation comedy, despite taking place in the present, this runs more like a ’70s cop show, in all the right ways! This format also creates a subconscious assumption regarding the movie’s title – which only strengthens the hilarious reason why this film is actually called The Turk.

Accompany that with brilliant pacing and the fact it’s laced with what (refreshingly) feels like genuine British banter (as opposed to scripted) makes you want to follow these guys throughout their day.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
