Jacked In Reviews ’28 Years Later’ (2025)
In 2002, Danny Boyle (Trainspotting, Slumdog Millionaire) and Alex Garland (Ex Machina, Annihilation) teamed up and brought the world a British, apocalyptic, adrenaline-fueled, horror that saw the United Kingdom turn to shit after just 28 Days. Those who weren’t infected with the aptly named rage virus did what they could to survive… and avoid contamination.
In 2007, Juan Carlos Fresnadillo took us further down the timeline, showing us how things had progressed (or descended)… 28 Weeks Later.
Now, in 2025, nearly (pretty much) 28 Years Later after the first movie, Boyle and Garland join forces once again to show us how things don’t always get better with time…

Jacked In Reviews ‘Mickey 17’ (2025)
We open on a partially frozen individual, Mickey (Robert Pattinson) – who has unfortunately fallen into a snowy crater of some sort. After being discovered by his “friend”, it seems that allowing Mickey to meet his demise – rather than going slightly out of his way to rescue him – is the more convenient option, as another copy can always be printed out. This isn’t their first rodeo, after all… what with currently being on Mickey 17.

Tim Burton’s sequel to the 1988 cult classic once again follows the Deetz’s, with Lydia (Winona Ryder) and her estranged daughter, Astrid (Jenna Ortega) front and centre. Making up the rest of the story is the scorned undead ex, Delores (Monica Bellucci), a deceased Charles Deetz (well, some of him), a crooked fiance to Lydia, Rory (Justin Theroux), a new lad on the scene who has a soft spot for Astrid, Jeremy (Arthur Conti) and paranormal detective, Wolf Jackson (Willem Dafoe). Oh, and Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton)… aaaand breath.

Jacked In Reviews ‘Longlegs’ (2024)
We open on an Oregon farm in the dead of winter through the POV of what looks like a ‘70s home video. A young child has a run-in with a rather unsavoury individual – who is even too tall to fit into the frame. The stranger addresses this by stating “It seems I wore my long legs today” before squatting to reveal their haunting face. And with that, the antagonist of Oz Perkins’ (son of infamous horror legend, Anthony Perkins) tale is introduced in the form of Nicholas Cage’s (like you’ve never seen him before) Longlegs.
