As we follow the day in the life of a lamb farmer, from the get-go it’s clear that this documentary is going to pull no punches as we are immediately hit with a casualty, showing us just how fragile a lamb truly is.
This immediately sets the tone of what’s to come; which isn’t necessarily a dark or morbid one but simply to illustrate “this is life”.
Leaving no stone unturned, the doc delves as deep as possible, from birth, all the way up.
Leaving no stone unturned, the doc delves as deep as possible, from birth, all the way up. We see the complexities of a lamb’s life, from abandonment to adoption. Even by witnessing something as simple as leaving a sheep on its side and how this can potentially have a fatal effect, we learn the intricacies of what is required. Not to mention (for those not in the know), you will finally get to find out why they spray those numbers on lambs and sheep!
Not only that but aside from the livestock, it also gives us an insight into the life of a farmer and what an adverse effect the likes of Brexit has had on them.
Some very informative journalism from Megan T Morgan, showcasing the various trials and tribulations in the world of lambing.
