Jacked In Reviews ‘Christopher.’ (2023)

We begin following the aftermath of multiple murders committed by the sociopathic salesman, Christopher. Then, through a mix of police interview footage and flashbacks, we’re able to journey into Christopher’s sinister acts of brutality.

The motivation for our monotone madman isn’t the clearest, although, by seeing the rejection he faces on a daily basis, we do see a man defeated, having little to no control over any part of his life.

There is one aspect of his life he is able to take control of, however, and because of this, we’re not necessarily following a man with an uncontrollable blood lust, more like a controlled bloodlust. As well as this, the meticulous way in which he lays out his knives – as one would a tie and socks – shows how nonchalantly narcissistic he is about the crimes he’s committing, adding a Patrick Bateman-esque quality to the character.

Although the dialogue and acting are a bit rusty around the edges, thanks to some nice cinematography and a story that’s being told in a time where murder dramas/docs are all the rage, the film succeeds in gaging intrigue.
