Death Becomes Her follows the toxic friendship of Madeline Ashton (Meryl Streep) and Helen Sharp (Goldie Hawn). After her latest Broadway performance, Madeline ends up stealing her friend’s fiancé, renowned plastic surgeon, Ernest Menville (Bruce Willis). Following years of competitive sabotage, this latest malicious act sends Helen on a downward spiral, both mentally and physically.

Over a decade later and now somewhat of a has-been, Madeline yearns for the appearance she once had. As well as looking for all the latest makeovers and facials, she lives with her (now alcoholic) husband, Ernest, who resents his wife more and more as each day passes.

After the two receive an invite out of the blue for Helen’s new book release, they are shocked to see their old friend looking glamourous, slender, and youthful as ever! Not to be bested, Madeline seeks out a means to outdo her old rival, when she stumbles upon a beauty treatment… that’s not available at the average salon.

Some people will go to any lengths to stay young forever. But Madeline Ashton and her old friend Helen Sharp are about to go TOO far.

Streep and Hawn turn this dementated rivalry into absolute comedy gold, opposite Willis in one of his most hilarious roles ever. An alternative fantasy, horror and dark comedy at its finest, not to mention absolutely brilliant visual effects. So, if you haven’t seen this Robert Zemeckis ’90s classic, get involved!
