Jacked In Recommends ‘Drive’ (2011)

Drive follows the story of a Hollywood stuntman/mechanic (Ryan Gosling) who also happens to moonlight as a getaway driver.

A man of very few words but a lot of wits, his life begins to fall into disarray after he starts hanging out with his neighbour, Irene (Carey Mulligan) and trouble soon follows.

It’s a fresh approach to a love story and isn’t afraid to get its hands dirty, the dialogue is minimal but that takes nothing away from this gripping tale. You will be entranced by the gorgeous cinematography and Nicolas Winding Refn’s stylized neo-noir vibe, not to mention the goosebump-inducing soundtrack. Finally, if you’re after the definition of cool, you’ll have your expectations met with Gosling’s character AKA the Driver, get involved.
