A Disney feature that follows the story of Taran (Grant Bardsley), a young assistant pig-keeper who dreams of one day, becoming the greatest warrior the world has ever seen. All the while the dreaded Horned King’s (John Hurt) terror sweeps across the land in search of a magical object that will make him and his army virtually unstoppable. . . The Black Cauldron.
Fortunately for Taran, he’s about to find out that his pig, Hedwin, is no ordinary farm animal. This might be the opportunity for Taran to prove himself as the hero he’s always wanted to be.
It is a fun, family adventure that isn’t without its scares and one of the first Disney animations to feature no musical numbers. So if you’re after an enchanted tale with mystical creatures and sorcery but don’t want to get bogged down every time a character breaks into song, The Black Cauldron is definitely for you, get involved.
